Hello. Let’s talk about me. I’m currently a husband, father, self taught home cook, drummer, and sailor. In between playing with my two boys, hanging with my wife, playing drums for the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, and working in the Navy, I’m trying to become a better cook so I can eventually get out of the service and make a career out of something I love. Pretty normal I guess.
As far as cooking goes, I love it and I am grateful for the opportunity to be able not only to experiment, but to actually know that if I really wanted to that I could do this forever. How cool is that? I am a huge believer in a person thinking that if they truly want to do something in life that they can accomplish it. You just have to believe. I have never had any formal cooking instruction. The best I’ve had is helping my father in the kitchen when I was a kid, learning his tips and tricks. What is really weird is that I can literally remember every thing he ever told me about cooking. Cooking was probably one of the reasons I made it through high school with such good grades. I used to bake cookies for my teachers all the time, and I had a recipe that was amazing.
Musically, I have played the drums since I was 10 years old, and still love it to this day. I’m hoping someday to be able to devote a lot more time to creating music, it is a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to express myself musically. I am a very proud father to two boys, Miles and Brock, and I have what has got to be the smartest, most beautiful, and most tolerant wife in the world, Genna. I am completely devoted to them and my love runs deep.
I have also been in the Navy for the past seven years and I still have another three to go. Booooo. Soon enough I will be finished and then hopefully it’s on to baking by day and drumming by night
